“Le Fabuleux destin de Sara Lynn Paige.”

Oh this one has been so much fun for me to make, I even started using it a few weeks before December because I liked it so much. (It was good for Thanksgiving anyway.) This theme is based on the spectacular French film, “Le Fabuleux destin d’Amélie Poulain”, also known as, “Amélie” as the English title.  I spent several weeks making sure the images I was using were mimics I could handle, and the background wallpaper image was snagged directly from the DVD scene selection menu and of course tweeked quite a bit.  I really enjoyed making this layout, almost as much I enjoyed the movie. Merci, Amélie!

“What if at the last second I forget how to fly?”

This template actually has an interesting piece of information behind it, the image and tag line is one I had used previously before at diary-x before it crashed and had recieved an award.  Music from The Album Leaf played on the main stream and it was “simplisticly breath-taking” so I was very excited to use this image again.

Believe it or not I wanted so badly to use this template for February but I just couldn’t hold off that long so I used it for Halloween, and very fittingly, I thought.

 I’ve been journaling online forever, and have bounced from site to site, starting from Scribble (3 years), to Diaryland (3 years), to Diary-X (2 years) to Livejournal and various forms of in-between- but i started painting this image and then the tag line came to me- so I threw it in there.  Time and time again I kept staring at this image and the tag line and it really moved me at the time.  But I had no idea what to use it for! So after a stream of indecision, I decided I was going to use it for my own site, though that was still suffering through the birthing process. After Diary-X went down and I struggled with LJ to be able to have the flexibility of the tweaking, manipulating, and writing my own code - I decided it was finally time to give myself that flexibility.  But without this image to inspire me forward, I probably would have put it off for another year or two. Thank you, inspiration.
